Sun! For once...

Can we have more days like this one please? I quite like winter (cosy clothes and cuddling up in front of the fire) but I'm getting a bit bored of it this year so if Spring would like to arrive that would be just grand.

Retro Vac Bar

Was helping out with the renovations of VacBar last weekend and we came across all these old Polaroids. They were sufficiently old that even I (in my role as old man of the college) didn't recognise the people or the events advertised on posters in the background. Anyhow the bar-formerly-known-as-VacBar is now looking amazing but I've got to keep it under wraps until the launch.

Bike maintenance stand

Joe and I recently invested in a bike maintenance stand between us. Having sized up the market and read a whole bunch of reviews it was clear that the very best stands by the very best brands (such as Park Tools) were just too pricy. But then we stumbled across this little gem from Black Dog Bikes. Chunky and functional, but folds away when it's not in use. Seems pretty durable too, and the parts/tools tray is very handy. Cost us £40, but the amount of faff it saves when fettling our road bikes is priceless.
